Earlier today (16 June 2012) The second orbital mission of the X-37B returned to earth, landing at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Launch almost 15 months ago on an Atlas V from Cape Canaveral, Florida, the classified space plane has been performing covert operations in Earth orbit. The x-37C, already in development, is to be a scaled-up version of the X-37B, capable of ferrying an unknown number of Air Force Astronauts to and from Low Earth Orbit.
